Mallika Sherawat's Shalu ke thumkey in Bin Bulaye Baraati Movie

Mallika Sherawat shot a sizzling item song - Shalu ke thumkey – earlier this week for Chandrakant Singh's action comedy 'Bin Bulaye Baraati' headlining Aftab Shivdasani and Priyanka Kothari.

The song was filmed at Yashraj Studio; it was choreographed by Ganesh Acharaya and the music scored by Anand Raj Anand.

Producer Dhanraj Jethani is elated over Mallika's cavorting in the item song.

"Mallika got her enticing moves right and 'Shalu ke thumkey…' sabhi Munnis aur Sheila ki chhutti kar denge."

Mallika modestly says her item song will not erase memories of Munni Badnam Hui or Shiela Ki Jawani, merely add to the repertoire.

"not replace,the more good songs the better!" she tweeted earlier this week.

Before the ongoing Mumbai schedule, Singh shot a 40- days schedule of the film at Kamalistan Studio, Vasai Fort, Goa.

Mallika Sherawat & Brad Pitt Discuss Hisss Movie

Mallika Sherawat mentioned that she and "Brad said 'hi' to each other and chatted about HISSS". Happy to hear that Mr. Khan was also in HISSS, Mr. Pitt said he "looked forward to seeing" the new film.

Mallika Sherawat Signs Dobble Dhamal

Bollywood’s sexy bombshell Mallika Sherawat almost disappeared from the industry after her 2008 movie Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam. The actress turned westward for some time but now she is back and that too with Sanjay Dutt starrer movie Double Dhamaal, which is a sequel of 2007 hit movie Dhamaal.

But, the strange fact is that the actress has signed the movie without having a discussion over her fee with the producer Ashok Thakeria. Usually, Mallika asks for an amount ranging from Rs.1 to Rs.1.5 crore in Bollywood but here comes the exception.

Thakeria was quoted stating that Mallika did not quote any amount to him and she said anything from him would be accepted by her. She is just delighted to be a part of such popular film like Dhamaal and that too with Sanjay Dutt, the producer added.

Indra Kumar will be directing the sequel Double Dhamaal. Well, probably Mallika has realized the worth of being part of a Bollywood film rather than roaming around with small roles in Hollywood.

Her movies like Murder, Khwahish and Pyar Ke Side Effects have done well at the box office but after this she did a cameo in the movie Welcome, which cannot be counted in her success list.

The movie looks totally badass and stars the stunning Mallika Sherawat as a snake woman! While we are waiting for word on this one, rumblings pertaining to the actress' next project have already begun.

Mallika Sherawat is talks to land the leading role in an untitled script in development that revolves around reincarnation. Sherawat didn't divulge any specific details but did mention that a big Hollywood director is circling the project.

Let's just hope for something spooky as nine times out of ten films about reincarnation are packing an unwanted amount of sappy weak sauce.

Mallika Sherawat to do Horror Flick

Mallika Sherawat sure is full of surprises. Agreed, that her shape-shifting-snake stint in Hissss , with costumes complementing her body rather well, did scale her acting career to new heights but the actress is making further progress.

Mallika says, “I have heard the script of a horror film on reincarnation. It is currently in the developing process. When it is complete, one shall work on the director aspect.”

Like Hissss , which is supposed to be a typically Bollywood story but has been directed by Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch, this film too has a mish-mash of sorts. But an optimistic Mallika adds, “I have met so many writers and only one of them brought this lovely horror script to me.”

After signing a new film with Amitabh Bachchan, the horror film seems like the next best thing to Mallika. Though a bit homesick now, Mallika is looking forward to this new project. She says, “It’s been more than a year that I have been in the US but it has been fruitful. This is indeed an interesting phase in my career and is taking me in the right direction.”

Mallika Sherawat Replace Vidya Balan in DHAMAAL 2

Though Bollywood seductress Mallika Sherawat is busy with her Hollywood projects (those including HISSS, LOVE BARRACK, here's a piece of good news for her Indian fans. The fiery lady will soon be seen in an upcoming Bollywood project. And the film in question is Indra Kumar's DHAMAAL sequel DHAMAAL 2.

If the latest buzz is to go by then hottie Mallika Sherawat has replaced Vidya Balan in DHAMAAL 2.

Vidya Balan reportedly asked for a huge amount which director Indra Kumar could not afford. So, Mallika was approached who agreed to do the film at a price that was favourable for both parties.

DHAMAAL 2 was supposed to release in 2009, but the release was postponed due to script problems. Now, it is believed that Arshad Warsi has been replaced by Aftab Shivdasani in the sequel. The rest of the cast which includes Sanjay Dutt, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ashish Chowdhary and Ritesh Deshmukh remains the same.

Malika Sherawat acts with Salma Hayek!

Mallika Sherawat was last seen in Bollywood films. The sexy lady was missing from the industry, as she was busy with her ambitious Hollywood projects. Bollywood filmmakers might have stopped offering her roles, but the doors of Hollywood have now opened for her.

Miss Sherawat’s first overseas project The Myth with Jackie Chan, has inspired her to take up the route to Hollywood. She has already acted in Hollywood movies like Hissss and Love Barack. Now, she is going to share screen space with Hollywood actress Salma Hayek. In fact, the two ladies have reportedly bonded very well.


During the Cannes film festival, Mallika met Salma Hayek, who expressed her interest to work together in future.

According to the sources, “Mallika is soon going to appear in a Hollywood project with Salma Hayek. They got friendly during the Cannes festival and discussed a lot about cinema. Mallika’s Hissss act has impressed Salma and she praised the lady greatly.”

The source added, “They remained constantly in touch even after returning to the US. They have also met for dinner.”


Mallika and Salma starrer film is supposed to be a women-centric one and Sherawat will be seen in the central character.

The source further informed, “The much talked about movie’s story revolves around abuse on women, which exists all over the world. Mallika loved the storyline and has shown interest to be a part of it.”

Mallika Sherawat at 62nd Cannes to unveil Hissss

‘What is she going to wear?’ is the thought that first pops up in the mind the moment one hears that Bollywood’s sex kitten Mallika Sherawat, who’s been purring more in Hollywood lately, is off to the 63rd Cannes Film Festival (May 12 to 23) in France.

Come May, Mademoiselle M is headed to the French Riviera town to unveil her film Hissss which is co-produced by her brother Vikram Lamba and directed by Jennifer Lynch.

We hear that the film’s actors, including Irrfan Khan and Divya Dutta, will attend a press conference and photo call at the Majestic Hotel where the film’s release date will also be announced. The film’s makers will also throw a cocktail party for international buyers and VIPs.

Mallika’s presence at the festival is mandated by one more event surrounding her upcoming American film ‘Love, Barack’.

But what we can’t wait to watch is the dress that Mallika will choose for the event.

Mallika Sherawat gets warrant for obscene dance

The first class magistrate of Pandharkawda court in Yavatmal district yesterday issued a bailable warrant of Rs 15,000 against noted actress Mallika Sherawat in bond with her obscene dance performances and directed her to appear before it on April 16. According to the petitioner Rajanikant Borele, he has filed an illegal complaint against Sherawat for her obscene acts.

CDs and video photos, which contain her obscene performances, were admitted by the court. The court had issued order against her in April last year and directed the Versova (Mumbai) police station officer to serve the order on her.

Her lawyer moved an application to grant time for her appearance. The court has, on two previous occasions, allowed her plea and directed her to appear in person today, the last date of hearing of the case. However, the actress did not pay any attention to the court's summons and unsuccessful to appear in person today. The complainant has brought this to the notice of the court and pleaded for issuing a warrant against her. Consequently, the JMFC of Pandharkawda Sunil Boralkar has passed the order of bailable warrant of Rs 15,000 against Sherawat.

The complainant Rajanikant, who has obtained the warrant from the court, is now set to go to Varsova police station with the warrant to be served on the actress. Advocate KG Mutyalwar has appeared for the complainant in the case. It may be recalled that earlier in November last year, Sherawat was scheduled to visit Nagpur to attend a public entertainment programme. But she late the visit at the last minute in expectation of being served with the court summons through Nagpur police during her stay in the city

Mallika sherawat and Divya Dutta in Hissss

Versatile actress Divya Dutta, who wowed audiences with her performances in Delhi 6, Morning Walk and Welcome to Sajjanpur, has bagged a couple of Hollywood projects. One of them is Hisss.

Directed by Jennifer Lynch, the film is about a snakewoman who can transform herself into a human being at will. While Mallika Sherawat plays the female lead, Divya will be seen as Irrfan Khan's love interest.

"It is one of the challenging roles I have received. I am really looking forward to it. I play Irrfan's love interest, who is passionate as well as sensitive. The role is not clichéd and has subtle things to portray. It is one of my best roles," Divya told IANS on phone.

The film is being shot in the jungles of Kerala and other parts of India to give it an authentic touch.

Apart from Hisss, Divya has two more Hollywood projects in hand. One of them is Emmy winning director Fred Holmes' "Heart Land".

"Heart Land is a light hearted film in which I am playing a Punjabi girl. It deals with a sensitive relationship my character shares with a much older man from the US," said the actress, who seems to be impressed with Hollywood's working style.

"People from the West are extremely passionate and disciplined about work. Everyone, from the junior level to the director, is so involved that we have no choice but to give our best," she added.

The films also stars Amelia Jackson Gray, Reg Grant and Stephan Mario Singh.

Divya refuses to divulge details about her third Hollywood project saying she is bound by a contract.

The actress was also seen on the small screen in serials like Kadam and Shanno ki Shaadi. She says although she enjoyed her stint on TV, she has no plans to return to soaps or serials.

"Creative freedom on television is very limited and I get bored very easily. It doesn't interest me any more," added the actress who compered the 56th National Awards ceremony.

"It (compering National Awards function) was a prestigious moment for me hosting in front of the president (Pratibha Patil). It is something I will cherish. I had kept my fingers crossed. The response was very nice," she said.

Apart from Hollywood flicks, Divya has a few Bollywood movies like Hello Darling, Haat - The Weekly Bazaar, Chehere, Amole Gupte's Stanley Ka Dabba and another one with director Sudhir Mishra in her kitty.

Mallika Sherawat act in film on Christ-The Aquarian Gospel

Mallika Sherawat is to play the role of Jesus Christ's confidante in an American film called The Aquarian Gospel. The Australian-born Drew Heriot, director of the docu-feature, The Secret (2006), which sold the largest number of DVDs in the USA that year, is helming the film.

The Bible is silent on Christ's life between 13 and 30, and down the centuries, many theories have been constructed about what he did in these years. Among the more popular beliefs is that Christ visited Kashmir. Heriot's film chronicles Jesus's journey from Israel as a young boy, through India, Tibet, Persia, Greece and Egypt.

In the movie, he encounters people of all creeds and meets sages from different faiths. Sherawat will play Saraswati, one of Yeshua's (Jesus) loyal friends whom he bonds with while he travels through India.

The actress, who has broken taboos in the Indian film industry with bold movies such as Khwaish and Murder, feels The Aquarian Gospel also breaks a different kind of taboo by discussing the "lost years" of Jesus. Saraswati is a celibate ‘yogini' (brahmacharini)—a nice contrast for an actress known as Bollywood's Bardot.

Heriot said, "Mallika is not just a pretty face, she is versatile, has a background in philosophy, so she will convey the richness of the subject matter."

"I find that in most mythological and spiritual film stories, women seem to be lacking in any true wisdom or a sense of humour," said Sherawat. "I look forward to bringing both these qualities to this character."

The script is written by John F Sullivan and William Sees Keenan, who were inspired by two books: the best-selling book The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ, which was written by Russian anthropologist Nicholas Notovich, whose journey to Tibet uncovered ancient scrolls describing the missing years of the life of Jesus, and The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by evangelist Levi Dowling.
